Prolonged Breast-Feeding Can Reduce Breast Cancer.

A surgeon with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Dr John Omega, has said that prolonged breast feeding reduces breast cancer risk in women.

Omega made this known in a lecture organised by Women in Technical Education and Development in Bauchi on Thursday.
He said that studies revealed that in every 14 black women, only one woman had the disease, while in every nine European women, one had the disease.
He said that breastfeeding the baby for a long period of time was beneficial to the woman.
