The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) was established by Qatar Foundation in 2009 under the patronage of its Chairperson, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. Education is the route to short- and long-term solutions, yet today’s learning systems are not coping with the task. WISE is a response to the urgent need to address education in a new way.
WISE is an international platform for innovation in education that nurtures new approaches, recognizes and supports successful initiatives and helps these initiatives spread and grow. The 2013 WISE Summit – Reinventing Education for Life – took place at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha, October 29-31. More than 1,200 prominent education, corporate, political and social leaders from over 100 countries took part in three days of debate, dialog and networking. Omotola, you go girl.
