Former Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor Arrested By EFCC.
Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission this afternoon arrested immediate past Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo in connection with the Australian polymer banknotes bribery scam. A close relative of Mr. Soludo confirmed that operatives picked up the former CBN governor in Abuja a few hours ago. A government source told said that Mr. Soludo is facing interrogation by the EFCC at its Abuja office with regards to his role in the bribery of CBN officials by an Australian currency mint company, Securency.
The source told our reporters about a dozen other CBN former and serving CBN officials have also been apprehended for questioning on the deal.
EFCC spokesperson could not be reached for confirmation of the arrest.

Residents of Manchok in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday recovered a baby from a pit latrine where its mother had dumped it.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the residents, who were attracted by the cry of the baby, had to break the latrine to remove the baby girl allegedly delivered by a 21-year-old student.
The suspected mother, an unmarried secondary school student, allegedly induced the delivery of her seven-month-old pregnancy and threw it away. The suspect, however, ran out of luck when one Miss Rifkatu John, who runs a beer parlour, went to use the latrine and heard the cry of the baby.
“I was preparing for business around 8 a.m. when I suddenly became pressed but when I stooped to ease myself, I was startled by the cry of a baby.

2 Dead In Fresh Jos Village Shooting.
A fresh attack in Du district of Jos South Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, home town of state governor Jonah Jang, by suspected gunmen left two people dead in the area. Witnesses say the gunmen stormed the ranch in the village early this morning, firing sporadically into the air. The gunmen got to the village in a Hi-Lux vehicle, and bolted away when they failed to gain access into the ranch. No security operatives arrived at the scene before the gunmen disappeared, which forced the villagers to troop out to protest the killings and the invasion.
However, men of the special task force in the state arrived the village after the incident had occurred leaving the attackers to escape. Some suspects were arrested, mostly youths who came out to defend their village.
